Plant Area Manager

Silica Lodge is an independent family run Garden Centre. Our plant area is a large part of the business and something we pride ourselves on, not only with the stock we present but also the advice we are able to give to our customers.

As Plant Area Manager you will be responsible for day-to-day running of the plant area which includes maintenance of all plants, making sure stock is on the shelves, and looking presentable to the community and the team is working efficiently. You will be on hand to offer extremely good advice to customers about all to do with our plant area. You will place orders with suppliers and book deliveries in using our system, so some administration / IT skills are necessary.

The ideal candidate will have a horticulture qualification or relevant experience within the industry which has led to a large knowledge of plants. You will need to be a strong leader, a team player and capable of working on your own initiative.
